Beautiful venue just be wary of hidden costs

We got married here this summer and for us the whole day was incredible. There’s so many positives and a few negatives just to be aware of if your thinking of booking the venue. Positives- -The venue is beautiful-everything from the drive up, the gardens and the bedrooms were beautiful. It’s such a good venue for summer or winter-with great space options inside and out! -The staff were incredible and the customer service couldn’t be faulted. They made you feel so special the whole day and the communication and record keeping was brilliant. -The set up was so organised-the venue staff put all of our decorations up without us having to worry about anything. You can tell that they are very used to the organisation. -The food and wine went down a storm. We had the most basic package but even that was amazing. The breakfast was lovely and had options for everyone. Negatives- -Once you pay the deposit you are “contractually obliged” to pay for the numbers that you specified when you booked. This was really hard because obviously you can’t predict how many you’ll have exactly-especially when you have to book so early! So evidentially you’ll always be overpaying what you originally plan or pay for people that aren’t there. You are also contractually obliged to pay for any empty rooms so if definitely budget it they aren’t filled (because the room rates are pretty expensive) -There is a hell of a lot of hidden costs-I.e. the cost of putting out the patio heater is about £120 (god knows why), they charge £200 to put garden games out. -The bar and music has to stop at exactly midnight which felt so so early on the night and was quite frustrating. I’m not sure why they can’t apply for a later licence. -The queues at the bar were way too long. The bar only had one person on it during the drinks reception to start with so the wait time wracked up pretty quickly. Overall we had a fab day and the venue was fab-just be aware of hidden costs (as with any venue probably).

A massive thank you!

A massive thank you to everyone at Nunsmere you really did create the best day of our lives! From the very first meeting a year ago the staff at Nunsmere have been nothing but helpful, professional and friendly. They make you feel like nothing is too much. It felt like everything ran as clockwork thanks to such amazing staff. The food is absolutely delicious and looks fantastic. It feels so great to find a venue that really do care about us and our wedding party and made us feel so special. Thank you again everyone xx
