The Ashes Barns and Country House

Our wedding at The Ashes was well organised and (relatively!) stress-free from the beginning. From our look around, to booking, to our planning meeting and the day itself, the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with every aspect of the day. The friendliness of staff really stood out and made us feel relaxed during the whole process. We received the guidance we needed and recommendations of local suppliers, many of which we used for our wedding. It was so lovely to enjoy the planning process despite us getting married fairly soon after getting engaged. The venue was beautiful and we really could not have asked for anything more. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and well-presented. They went out of their way to ensure certain requests on the day which was very much appreciated. Lisa was amazing - very helpful, always around but not too much and always close by if needed. She very much put our minds at ease and helped our day to run smoothly. We had a lot of positive comments about the venue too. Thank you all for making it such a special day and one that we will remember for the rest of our lives! Lauren & David

Hello! Thank you to the entire team at The Ashes for the most amazing time on our wedding day. We’ve loved every minute of it, the organisation has been great, and it was so nice that we didn’t have to worry about the little details on the day e.g. the placement of all the decorations etc. Everything looked spectacular and we couldn’t have faulted anything. All our guests and families commented on how fantastic and beautiful the venue was - we had a lot of fans of your highland cattle as well! We also wanted to personally thank Jayne who made sure the day ran smoothly and the way we’ve envisioned it. She’s done a great job and was so pleasant all the way through our planning. We can't thank you enough - there’s not a single thing we’d have done differently (apart from perhaps getting less alcohol, but we’re stocked for good few months!!!). Best wishes, Maggie & Martyn
