The Old Ship is registered to hold civil wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships granted by the County Council. Our ceremony rooms can accommodate from 50 up to 120 guests and are charged separately than the packages as per the table below. Please remember that that you will need to contact the Registrar directly to arrange your preferred date and there would be a separate fee for the attendance of the registrar. You can book the Registrar up to a year in advance and are required to give notice to the Registrar of the district. It is also worth noting that once the date is planned, couples will secure their preferred venue at the same time to ensure they can get the dates and venue they like

When you choose the Old Ship Hotel, our main aim will be to make your dream a reality. Every detail, however small, will be discussed with your dedicated wedding co-ordinator. That personal connection will remain right the way through the build up to your big day and then on the day itself. We are here to guide you right from the start of the process, so we have put together a number of packages; to suit your numbers, your preferences and your budgets. You can choose from an inclusive package or mix one of our speciality packages with an evening function package – the choice is yours to make. We have included many of the touches of a traditional wedding, like the Master of Ceremonies, who will inform your guests throughout the day, use of our cake stand and knife, printed menus, name cards and table plans. Hello Sarah, I hope you are well. Sorry this is late but wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to you and all your colleagues for making our wedding day at The Old Ship so wonderful. It was a "different" wedding to what you are used to I am sure but you were fantastic and you got us and what we needed right from the beginning. The hotel was amazing, the Fecamp Lounge was perfect and the staff that looked after us on the day couldn't have been kinder or better. What a wonderful day

The weather was just stunning, and the piper went down a treat and was very emotional and very appreciated by one and all especially the Scots. The service before and during all of the meal was exceptional and the staff were so attentive, swift, polite and professional. The food was beautiful, so lovely for it all to be hot! every guest commented how good it was and the dessert was to die for. My vegetarian dish was delicious. Please pass our gratitude to all concerned, the chef must of worked so hard but everyone, including George's family ( who are not easy to please!) loved all the food ?? Also both George and I would like to say how truly amazing and wonderful Sami was, she made myself and George, as well as my best man feel so much calmer and confident to continue. She was just incredible. An absolute credit to the hotel and would like you to ensure how much we loved her, what a lovely, sweet, professional young lady (just like you) We can not thank everybody involved enough for making our very special day more special.
