With more couples opting for the smaller, more intimate wedding, Knockinaam can offer a unique, romantic setting with the option of it being exclusively yours. With 10 individually decorated rooms, including one family suite, comfortable lounges that retain the character of the Victorian Shooting Lodge, and the passion of creating food from local, fresh, produce in our 3 Star AA Rosette restaurant, Knockinaam is able to accommodate up to 20 adults, and extra children. Hiding in Dumfries & Galloway, nestled in its own cove, facing Ireland, Knockinaam is a retreat from the hustle & bustle of life. With its private sandy beach, sheltering cliffs, and dramatic coastline, it is a secret hidden gem. Exclusive use is available for a wedding, on a minimum of a 2 night basis. This can be mid-week or weekend and there are seasonal rates. This would include Dinner, Bed & Breakfast for 20 of your guests for the 2 or more nights. We are able to offer a BBQ or a buffet for your first night, where your friends & family can meet and catch up, then after the ceremony on the second day, we offer a 5 course set menu in our restaurant. As we are a small team, we are open to ideas of themes for menus, entertainment and quite game for a giggle. Many of our weddings take place outside, overlooking the Irish sea, and this makes it so special. If your are looking for a smaller event, we can offer a "Wee Wedding" for up to 8 guests, using our wedding licence, with a restaurant lunch, or a Dinner and overnight accommodation. We also have a luxury self-catering Lodge called Shingle Lodge, which has 2 bedrooms and is available for short lets, this is great for elopements for just you and your witnesses.
