Description
Steeped in over 500 years of rich history, Hotel Cromwell is an enchanting 16th-century former farmhouse turned boutique hotel. Nestled right in the heart of picturesquely vibrant Old Stevenage High Street, the property has undergone a stunning, full restoration. What was once the once the home of John Thurloe, secretary and master spy to Oliver Cromwell is now a truly unique wedding venue offering stunning indoor and outdoor licensed ceremony spaces and a private landscaped garden for breath taking photographs.
The venue perfectly preserves its historic soul—featuring period oak panelling, original timber beams, and a cosy inglenook fireplace—while seamlessly integrating chic, contemporary styling. It provides a warm, character-rich backdrop that gives couples the charm of a countryside getaway with all the modern luxuries of a high-end town hotel.
