Godwick Hall and Barn

I don't think there are enough words I can use to describe how incredible this venue really is. We had planned to see a few different venues but as soon as we walked in we knew Godwick was the one for us. The setting is just gorgeous and is a blank canvas with plenty of scope for creativity. We loved that we were able to get married outside over looking the Godwick ruins, and the hay bales and tractor ride gave it that little extra Norfolk touch we wanted our guests to experience. As well as the barn we hired the hall and the three shepherds huts and we are so glad we did. The hall is amazing with a swimming pool and a games room. We had so much fun setting up on the Tuesday and going back to the hall all spending time together. It was like a mini holiday and a really special part of our wedding. The shepherds huts are so beautiful. We chose to stay in one on the night of the wedding and waking up as mr and Mrs to that gorgeous view was amazing. Another thing that makes Godwick such a great venue is the staff. Kevin, Amy, Senga and team are so passionate about their venue and really can't do enough for you. Kevin was always happy to answer emails with silly questions and show us around the venue whenever we wanted to see it. Amy was an absolute star on the day before and day of our wedding. She really put me at ease and made sure everything ran smoothly. It also helps that they are both such lovely people. Having a consultation with penny of the little lending company was invaluable! We got some great ideas from her and ended up hiring quite a lot of her collection. Godwick was the best choice we ever made! It was the best day of our lives and we really can't thank you all enough for everything you did for us! Lucy and Simon

Well what can I say.. Godwick is incredible! We had our wedding reception here on Saturday and It was more than we could have ever dreamt of! From day one of planning nothing was ever too much to ask and questions were answered efficiently every time! Kevin and the team was always there on hand to help or do everything that they could to make our day just the way we wanted it to be. Efficient, with a kind and friendly touch. We loved Godwick the first time we visited it and knew it was the only place we wanted to get married and celebrate with all of our family and friends. We loved the gorgeous barn, sheep in the fields and the ruins; it's the perfect location for a Norfolk wedding. Whilst finding all your own suppliers for your wedding may appear daunting, the staff at Godwick were so supportive and were able to advise and help us plan the perfect day right from the start. We were also able to enjoy some wonderfully quirky aspects of our day at Godwick. Being driven to the barn on the back of a tractor was just amazing. I remember looking at my Dad who was with me, he just couldn't believe it. We also had a tractor ride up to the ruins by ourselves after lunch to have some photographs taken and this was a truly special part of our day as it was just the two of us. Being able to stay at the Hall made our weekend even more magical. The rooms are beautifully decorated and getting ready the morning of the wedding and waking up there a married couple was wonderful. So many of our guests commented during the day how wonderful the venue was and the day couldn't have been more perfect. We had a truly memorable day and would like to thank everyone at Godwick. We're very much hoping to stay at the Hall on our first wedding anniversary to recapture our wonderful memories. We cannot recommend Godwick enough.

We couldn't have been more pleased or received higher praise on our choice of wedding venue. The Barn itself is absolutely stunning and needs very little in terms of decoration. The bar and kitchen have been so well thought out that it made the logistics of the day so easy for all our guests and suppliers. The surrounding area and ruins are also incredibly beautiful allowing for plenty of photo opportunities and a real WOW factor for our guests. The whole team at Godwick, from start to finish have been so professional going above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect, which it was. We couldn't have chosen a better venue and can't thank the team enough!

Godwick provided the ideal setting for our laidback wedding. The barn is stunning as it is but also provides the perfect canvas for anyone’s creative, personal touches. We wanted a cosy wedding and Godwick provided this perfectly. Lots of guests commented on what an amazing wedding venue it was; and will and we couldn’t be happier with our choice!

We had our wedding here in July. From the very first visit last year the team at Godwick have been fantastic. They have a wealth of knowledge they are happy to share whilst still giving you the freedom to make the venue exactly how we wanted it. The Barn is beautiful and we then had a Tipi on the lawn for the reception. Everyone we dealt with in terms of suppliers that were recommended by Godwick were fantastic. We used the hall and the shepherds huts for 2 nights. The huts are great fun and really unique. The hall is a stunning place to stay with great rooms and amazing facilities. We would highly recommend Godwick to anyone

Wednesday 15th August 2018 Lorna and Martin - Godwick barn and the team are a dream to work with. Absolute professionalism from beginning to end. The team are incredibly organised and conversations between ourselves and staff were extremely helpful and reassuring. As we were both working full time throughout the planning stage without any allocated wedding planner we felt extremely lucky to have Kevin to liaise with regarding the organisation, structure and flow of our big day, he really is a top man and everything ran so smoothly. If you choose Godwick barn as your wedding venue, without doubt you’ll have the BEST experience. Thank you so so so much!

We were after a rustic, rural setting where I could get creative and have complete control of the décor. The team there were flexible and let me create my vision of an enchanted forest style wedding (I installed enormous trees and everything!). Not only is the barn beautiful, with gorgeous views of the Godwick ruins, the team were incredibly helpful too. The perfect package. Their package offer of an hours styling planning with Penny, their Freelance Creative Director, sparked a wonderful creative relationship. Penny literally helped make my dreams a reality. Kevin made us feel instantly relaxed as soon as we met him and was enthusiastic from start to finish (even when we sent him on a wild beer hunt to stock his bar). We also hired out the hall and shepherds huts on a self catered basis, which were beautiful and run by the team to perfection. All the guests commented on how amazing it all looked. We went back to Godwick a few days after the wedding and it was very emotional, we are sad that we won’t be seeing the team and venue regularly anymore. We would like to thank everyone at Godwick Great Barn for helping to make our day so special. The team were incredible from start to finish to make sure our day ran as smooth as possible. Kevin was very helpful from our first meeting to ensure that all our requests were met, and was always on hand if and when we had any queries. The suppliers we were put in contact with from the venue's approved list were all amazing, from the caterers (Expresso and Nomadi Pizza) to the the hire company (The Little Lending Company). We also stayed at Godwick Hall with our bridal party, which is a beautiful boutique accommodation that everyone fell in love with. The venue itself is a picturesque setting for a wedding and was flexible to meet our needs. The outside space is amazing, with the views of the ruins in the grounds. We opted for an outside ceremony, but equally had the option of an inside ceremony if the weather did not stay dry. All of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was and how smoothly the day ran. On the day itself, James, Kevin and the rest of the team worked tirelessly to ensure everything was set up as necessary and going above and beyond to help us make everything perfect! Our day would not have been the same without their wonderful assistance!

October 6th, 2018. Nicky and Ed - Godwick barn is a truly beautiful venue to get married in. We had a brilliant day and a fantastic experience from the moment we were first shown around the venue.
