De Vere Tortworth Court Hotel

I would avoid booking such an important day with this venue. 4 weeks before our wedding, they cancelled all our accommodation and guests accommodation as a corporate client wanted exclusive access. They offered no remediation nor remedy - and left us to solve >50 guests accommodation in summer the Cotswolds with 4 weeks notice. We never received an apology and the general manager refused to meet us, our parents nor take a phone call to discuss. When I was informed and said I pictured getting ready in the suite booked the morning of my wedding - I was told ‘this isn’t their problem’ and that I only had a contract the evening of the wedding with them so to figure something myself. When my parents advise it was a breach of contract to on-sell our accommodation and guests accommodation for exclusive use, the response by the hotel was ‘so, sue us’. We received calls all the way up to the wedding from guests complaining about how rude the reservation team was when’s cancelling their bookings. It was a continuous nightmare in the lead up to an important day, which should have been joyous and exciting. Truly the most horrendous customer experience imaginable and I wouldn’t wish this upon any other couple for such an importantly day!!

Our wedding day was incredible from beginning to end and more perfect than we could have imagined. Thank you for all your hard work and thank you to Moises and the team as well who worked so hard to ensure we had the best day. Our guests were blown away with the venue and the staff and how brilliant they all were. Thank you for coming to see us during the day.

Thank you for all your help in the planning and lead up to the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for you and you and the team answered our (many!) questions superfast and with all the information we needed. You really helped make the planning process a dream! Please pass our thanks on to the Operations team on the day. We were so grateful to you and them for making the day run so smoothly, as well as helping to sort out any issues (ie – cake not arriving!!). The day was absolutely perfect from start to finish, and we are so so glad to have picked Tortworth Court as our venue. As well as being stunning, the staff were second to none. We also had so many compliments on how good the food was! Please share out thanks to the chef, he did come and introduce himself to us, but it’s all mixed in the blur of the day. The food was absolutely delicious and we only heard good things from all of our guests!
