John is no ordinary photographer; he makes every effort to ensure you get the shots you want and also has an eye for the understated but equally special moments that the happy couple are usually too busy to notice. Lynne and I were absolutely delighted with the portfolio John created and the problem - if you can call it a problem - was that the shots were all so good we really struggled choosing the final set we wanted! Nothing is too much trouble for John and he will go the extra mile (or several miles in our case) to get you the shots you want. We would not hesitate to recommend John's services to anyone looking for a special record of their special day.

John did a fabulous job with our wedding photos . He gave us the perfect combination of formal & natural shots, just as we requested. John is not only an incredible talent but is great fun to work with. His easy going nature & good humour puts everyone at ease. He made our day & gave us a fabulous record of it.

I have no hesitation in recommending John. John is not only professional and friendly but more importantly he produces great quality pictures. John was excellent, before, during and after our wedding itself. Before our wedding, John scoped out our venue and genuinely wanted to find out what types of pictures mattered to us, he helpfully suggested different scenarios for our photos that not only would bring out the best of our venue but also bring the best out of our guests and us. During the wedding, John was relaxed and that feeling transmitted to us and our guests, everyone felt comfortable. Gathering family members and friends together to get their picture taken can be like herding cats, but John managed this unenviable task with great grace, humour and gentle firmness to ensure that everyone got their picture taken when they were meant to. Outwith our stated roster of photos, John had a talent and a great eye in capturing those little moments of our day that might have been missed and thankfully he took the time to seek these moments out. After the wedding, John was prompt in getting back to us with the photos he took and offered us many different packages, communication was second to none. And the finished wedding book and separate prints were excellent and of high quality, just want we were looking for. Every time we look at our wedding photos it really does tell the story of our day and we are transported back to those feelings and emotions from our wedding day. John was the best wedding photographer we could have wished for - it felt as if he was one of our good friends as opposed to our photographer and everyone loved his charming and personable approach - nothing was too much trouble for him and he captured the essence of our special day perfectly - could not recommend him highly enough.

Couldn't recommend John highly enough. When you're organising a wedding, a photographer tends just to be one of those things to organise, but John ended up being a really important part of our day & we have some incredible images to remember it by. He even got up early in the morning to catch me & some of the other guests on a nerve-easing jog up Arthur's Seat, in full kilt! 5 stars for sure.
