What is your most memorable wedding?
Probably a small ceremony in the Lake District where the Bride & Groom got their walking boots on after getting married and hiking with them to a waterfall and rambling down! I even waded into the water to get the best shot :)
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Candid, Reportage, Stylish, non traditional & fun.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Apart from having a fun and relaxing approach to wedding I guess it would be my bespoke Italian albums. No 2 are alike!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't list too many group shots, around 6 is good. They take a good portion out of your day if you have too many and most people with 10 or more cancel some on the day. Also don't get doughnut towers as they never get eaten! ;)
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When the groom combined different orchestral mixes of Disney songs for the first dance and finished it with the fireworks music from Disney World that they watched after getting engaged. That was my own wedding though so I am biased!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I try to be as relaxed as possible, both before the day and during. I am there not only to photograph your day but provide my experience and help wherever I can!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
If you have a veil then some nice sunset shots under it are some of my favourite. Otherwise a stylish nighttime shoot in the dark looks really striking!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The most original ones I do are by the creative use of lighting and combining that with prisms for some really dramatic effects!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I always bring umbrellas as rain shots in the evening look AMAZING.
For couples? - Party games always go down well if you think it might be raining on the day.
Describe how you got into photography.
It started as a hobby in university and grew into something more. I had a chance early on to be the official photographer for the Great Dorset Steam Fair and that sealed the deal. My break into wedding photography was through a friends mum who was getting married for the 2nd time at an amazing wedding venue but wasn't sure on a photographer and offered to let me do it for her. That as they say was that and i've loved photographing them ever since!
