Make time for photography in your planning and not too many group shots!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The Groom loved American cars, especially the Mustang. I arranged for one to turn up on his wedding day. He said it was the best part of the day before getting slapped by his new wife across the face!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Phone or email chat. Meet for a drink and an informal discussion to show images etc and discuss plans that have already been made. Book and go from there.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Dancing shots of them and guests when everyone is letting their hair down and there is no longer any pressure re times etc.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Dog bearing the rings.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A few white umbrellas. They can be useful in staying dry and are also good for photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
In about 1990 I worked for a photographic wholesaler as a trainee manager. We sold film to all of the professionals. One of my team photographed weddings and asked me to tag along. I also love animals so naturally started taking pictures of wildlife.
