Emma is a professional violinist based in Durham and has more than fifteen years experience of performing at many of the region's most prestigious wedding venues including Wynyard Hall, Lumley Castle, Matfen Hall, Beamish Hall, Headlam Hall, Healey Barn and many more. She can provide solo violin; violin and guitar duo, string quartet and vintage 1930s/40s style hot club jazz quartet. Depending on the size of the venue the instruments can be purely acoustic or lightly amplified. Solo violin is so romantic and is perfectly suited to classical, pop, Disney, film & TV themes and folk melodies. It will sound wonderful in a church or castle; in an intimate ceremony room or even for an outdoor wedding. Popular choices for the wedding ceremony are A Thousand Years, A Million Dreams, Pachelbel's Canon in D, A Whole New World from Aladdin, Perfect, All of Me and How Long Will I Love You plus many more to choose from. The violin/ guitar duo can play a huge range of music including pop, jazz, folk, classical, TV & film themes, and will give you a fuller more upbeat sound for both ceremonies and receptions. Our vintage style jazz Quartet, Hot Club du Nord, is perfect for drinks receptions or laid back evening entertainment, and will set the ideal mood for a vintage themed wedding.
