Phil McConnell is a Traditional wedding Bagpiper who will make a wonderful addition to your wedding. I have been playing the pipes for over 45 years I was a piper in the Royal Artillery pipe band in Liverpool and played on Horse Guards Parade in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen. I have also been a member of the Clan
McCleod Pipe band in Liverpool, St Georges Pipe band Chorley and the Warrington pipe band. As a member of the Warrington pipe band it had been a successful band and in 1975 won the world pipe band championships in grade 3. In the same year we were proclaimed champion of champions for obtaining the highest results at all 5 major competitions that year. And with 1000pipers , I played the pipes at the opening of the Commonwealth games in Edinburgh in 1986.
To make your day memorable from the start, I will play for your guests as they arrive at your wedding playing a selection of lively tunes . The Bride and the Brides maids will also be greeted including bride and grooms parents.
I can play as the bride goes down the aisle , Play during the signing of the register, and play as the newly weds come back up the aisle. I will play as guests are leaving and play a few tunes while some pictures are being taken.
