What is your most memorable wedding?
So many to choose just one BUT one of my weddings that incorporated 5000 white roses and not a stem of foliage in sight always makes me swoon...
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Romantic, Pretty, Creative, Stylish, Contemporary
What about your business are you most proud of?
The number of Wedding referrals that I receive each year from past client recommendations.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book key suppliers as soon as possible, I only undertake one wedding per weekend which enables me to focus fully on my clients needs, therefore providing a super fabulous service.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A rose ceremony...
The bride and groom gave each other a rose and going forward vowed to leave a rose in their home as a sign to the other person that they would like to make time to talk about something that was bothering them.
SO lovely - I am sure you will agree, this sure beats yelling at each other!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
An initial consultation with the Bride, Groom and any family members is paramount, normally conducted at the venue 12 to 18 months before Wedding Day. A great opportunity to view my private portfolios and discuss designs that are in keeping for your own Wedding Day.
A proposal is then forwarded to clients and upon acceptance a deposit would be required. A final meeting is always organised before the clients 'Big Day' to finalise designs and any changes in numbers etc.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Actually it was a buttonhole... Grooms buttonhole was studded with a diamond from Cartier!
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
Too many favourites to choose just one BUT I love paperwhites during the spring for their heady scent; , subtle spearmint coloured hydrangea simply ooze summer sophistication, and winter just would not be winter without elegant white amaryllis.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
For me personally it would have to be Sarah Bernhardt pale pink peonies - so big and blousy!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Table centre flowers can be wrapped and given to guests at the end of the day, you can arrange for your bridal bouquet to be preserved, buttonhole roses can be pressed and framed as a memento. So many other options are available..
