The Event Dressers is a family run business owned and ran by Nicola and Gloria Ferguson. With over 10 years of experience in the industry we head a team of skilled stylists who take care of everything so you don’t have to. With finesse, style and a great attention to detail we are dedicated to transforming weddings and special events to the highest of standards. We love working with all of our couples on an individual basis as we know every day is as unique and as important as you. At our Cramlington showroom we offer free consultations where we can show you our full product range and discuss your ideas. Styling this throughout the year we keep up to date with the ever changing trends and themes. This is also where our onsite workshop is and where we create some of our fabulous handmade products. We offer such a wide range of products including chair covers and sashes, chiavari, ghost and cross back chair hire, chair decor, centrepieces, draping and lighting, table accessories, room decor, balloons, dance floors and much much more. If you are unsure of exactly what it is you are looking for please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. I couldn't fault them from start to finish.

The Event Dressers helped to dress the room for our wedding reception last Saturday and what an amazing job they did! I couldn't fault them from start to finish. Nicola was extremely helpful from our first meeting at Cramlington and throughout the entire process of sorting exactly everything we wanted. The room was absolutely stunning, even better than I ever imagined it could be! And all the girls who came to help dress it were lovely too! They really did do such an amazing job I could not fault them one little bit. Thanks so much for being part of our day and creating such a beautiful reception for us and our guests! Xxx

We knew instantly they were the event dressers we wanted to work with

Nicola and Gloria are great people to work with. We met at their Cramlington warehouse and we knew instantly they were the event dressers we wanted to work with. We took our colour scheme along with us and discussed what we wanted. In the end we decided on the dusty rose drapes with lighting and rented some mirrored plates. Very reasonably priced. Although we didn't see them on the day, they arranged everything directly with Alnwick Gardens which took the stress away with us. We arrived the day before and it was all set up for us. Thank you both for making our room look so pretty and special. It also looked amazing with the blossom in the Orchard. We are so lucky xxx

It couldn't have been any better

On Sat 8th June you dressed the room for my daughters wedding at linden hall . I can’t thank you enough, it looked so classy . Everyone commented on it . The arch was fab too used in ceremony then over the cake . Everything was just perfect . The chairs and drapes were classy and the bling broaches were fab . What is your most memorable wedding?

It is so hard to narrow down a single wedding. We have been in the industry for over 10 years now and have made some great memories along the way.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Our customer service. We really do care about your big day, we have no minimum spend, no time limit on appointments, no rules and regulations and that's because this is your big day and we want it to be as important to us as it is to you.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Do not follow the rules! So many of our couples ask "Should we have this?" or "Do we have to have that?" and the answer you will usually hear from us is no... We work with so many couples with different ideas and different priorities and we will always be honest with you and share our thoughts but it all comes down to the fact that it is your big day. There are some lovely traditions out there sometimes that's all they are and if they dont mean anything to you why should you do them? It is important to remember what this day is about and that is YOU. It is about being so in love that you want to share the rest of your lives together and do so in front of your closest family and friends.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

We worked closely with a Bride to arrange for a personalised aisle runner for the groom, it had a special message printed onto the bottom of it and wasn't revealed until the last moment when he arrived at the venue. Such a special touch.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We always invite all of our couples to our showroom so we can take time to get to know them and understand what it is they are trying to achieve, we then put a quote together and email this across within 24 hours (unless otherwise specified). Four to six weeks before the big day we get in touch to see where things are up to, make all final arrangements and arrange payment. Again, we always invite couples to come in at any point throughout the process to have a look at things or discuss any ideas or plans.

What are the decorative trends with brides currently?

Trends are forever changing however we have found that all of the rose gold, bronze metals are still very popular, along with a lot of foliage and succulent based products
