What is your most memorable wedding?
A traditional African Wedding with over 200 guests. Our styling even included two amazing thrones!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
elegant, stylish, quirky, fun, professional
What about your business are you most proud of?
The level of personal commitment to delivering exactly what our clients want
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Go on pinterest to get lots of ideas of the kind of things you like and just as important, don't like. Make sure your style suits the type of venue you want, e.g. elegant in a country house, rustic in a barn etc etc
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I like where the couple name the tables rather than just having table numbers and use names that co-ordinate with the theme of the wedding or have personal significance to the couple
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once an enquiry is received we will get in touch to arrange a free, no obligation, design consultation at a time, date and venue that is mutually convenient. We like to meet our clients and listen carefully to what they are trying to achieve with their wedding styling. After the meeting we will work up a detailed quotation and styling proposal and send it over to the Client for there consideration. One you are happy with what we have proposed you can secure your booking by payment of a deposit, usually around £100 dependent on the total cost of the quotation. We allow clients to make changes in all aspects of the styling up to between 6 and 4 weeks prior to the wedding. The final invoice is based on the final plan in terms of styling items and guest and table numbers, not the original estimates so you only pay for what you get.
On the day of the wedding we make sure we are at the venue nice and early to do all our styling work and if there is a change over required from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast we will stay at the venue to ensure that everything is set up perfectly for the wedding breakfast. We go to the venue the day after to collect all items.
We are happy to meet with Clients as and when they feel they need to meet to discuss any aspects of their styling and will aim to assist in all ways we can to reduce the stress leading up to the big day!
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
Lots of beautiful weddings but we did enjoy working on an Arabian Nights Charity event as the colours were so magnificent
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Talking to other stylists it is clear that this varies around the country to a certain extent. There does however seem to be a shift from the traditional chair cover and sash to using Chiavari Chairs that do not need covers and thus other decor such as ruffle hoods, chiffon drapes etc can be used which look so beautiful and elegant and the suppliers are bringing out wider choices in colours for these items
What is your signature finishing touch?
Attention to detail, bows perfectly tied, chair covers pristine white.
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
I like table runners as I think they can connect the table styling to the chair styling in terms of colours
