What is your most memorable wedding?
All weddings are memorable in their own way, but there is one which stands out for us. We are always behind the scenes, so never get to see the Bride on the wedding day until last summer (2015) We created a cake for Gemma and Oli at Hitchin Priory. We were lucky enough to be able to see the bride and have a chat with her, dad and mum as she nervously waited for the wedding car to whisk them away to church. We got to see her beautiful dress, her amazing shoes and her bouquet. We also loved chatting about her plans after her wedding. They live all the way in New Zealand, but came back to get married. It was a really special wedding day with lots of emotion which we were fortunate to share.

What about your business are you most proud of?
The great relationship we create with our clients and the consistent high standards we strive to maintain.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be individual! You can still have a personal design for you and it fit in to your wedding day! Whether it's choosing the unusual flavours for your cake or adding models, having a novelty type cake, just go with what you want!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Definitely Cordelia and Simon's Wedding. They dressed the cake table with framed photographs of both family members and shots of funny moments throughout their lives. It provided such a talking point and made people remember good times and laughter adding to the special atmosphere of a wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Each couple is different along with their requests, so no process will follow another, however we always use these basic procedures.
The initial enquiry e-mail - We try to give as many options from your initial e-mail and include price guides as we know how important this is.
If you feel that we meet your initial needs, then we can either go onto have a chat via phone, send out a sample pack (to Naked wedding cake/long - distance clients) or arrange a consultation.
The Consultation - When we come up with your perfect design and you are pleased with the cake recipes, then we advise booking. Booking is made by paying a £50.00 deposit. Your date is secure. We then keep you posted with any outstanding details and source any unusual supplies for your order. You will then be sent progress pictures on the week of your wedding, or before if we have sugar flowers and colours to match. Some couples choose to keep it a complete surprise, it is entirely up to you. We then deliver and set-up the cake at your venue so it is presented at it's best. You can as involved as you like, or leave it to us. We can work with you whatever your style.
