Stable Cottage Cakes

As a fellow supplier, I bump into Lucy at venues and wedding fairs often and she's always lovely, friendly and professional. A previous client of mine had mentioned her to me, saying that Lucy and I both approach our businesses with the same ethos and that we were both the best suppliers she used. So I didn't hesitate to choose her when I needed a birthday cake for my son. I sent her a sketch of what I was thinking of and she produced it exactly - it was perfect! And delicious too. Lucy also was kind enough to get hold of some train candle holders as a finishing touch and left me with extra sprinkles, just in case. As we were taking the cake some distance away, I was nervous about constructing it but Lucy left me with clear instructions and it was so easy. Lucy made our wedding cake ideas come true. She was fantastic from start to finish and made the process so easy and relaxed. She was open to all our ideas and created everything we asked of her. On the day, I knew I didn't need to worry as I knew Lucy would set it up perfectly which she did. Our wedding cake received so much praise from guests, both for its fantastic look and for the incredible taste. I've never tasted such a light and fluffy cake which was not only very tasty on the day but still amazing a month later when we took the leftovers out of the freezer! Lucy delivered everything and more that we asked for and we have already recommended her to friends!

We met lucy at a wedding fair and she was so friendly and welcoming. We tried her samples and got looking at some of her styles. We absolutely loved the fact that she wasn’t just a baker - she was doing some amazing work with battery hens too. On the day Lucy arrived promptly and got on with what she needed to. I was so impressed with the final look of the cake and the flavour did not disappoint either. She was wonders to work with and will keep her in mind for any other big family event.

Lucy worked closely with us from the start. She understood all our ideas but was able to improve them and make practical suggestions about how to bring them to life. She was extremely helpful and quick to respond to emails. We loved her ethical approach and that, combined with her obvious talent and passion for what she does, made us so glad we had found her to be a supplier for our wedding.

We got married just after xmas last year, and Lucy was absolutely fantastic. I had a semi idea of what I wanted and she created a wonderful design for our cake which incorporated a winter theme and our white rose theme, and created the most amazing looking cake! We had different flavours for each layer, and she created us a flavour which wasn’t on her list (almond sponge and cherry jam - I love a Bakewell tart!). The resulting cake not only looked fantastic but tasted incredible and we had so many comments. Lucy was so professional and helpful throughout - I would highly highly recommend!!

From seeing Lucy at a wedding fair to our wedding day, nothing was too much trouble, we had a wonderful 4 tier white cake and it was absolutely stunning, I was amazed with how flawless it looked, better than I could have imagined. We met with Lucy prior to our wedding to discuss our cake over a cup of tea, we chatted about how we expected our wedding to be, our theme and colour scheme and Lucy helped us choose a cake to suit with the different options she had to offer. Her service was exceptional and the cake was lovely! We didnt even have any left to enjoy after the wedding as it was so tasty, it was all eaten on the day.

Lucy did an amazing job of our wedding cake. We wanted something quite different and specific, Lucy fulfilled the brief to perfection. From me sending an initial photo, Lucy researched & reproduced Noddy Holder's hat brilliantly The hat's brim was a beautifully moist fruitcake and the top of the hat a delicious chocolate sponge. We had so many compliments about the cake, it really was a showstopper.

Right from the beginning Lucy was amazing. We met her at the Denbies wedding fayre and she was so lovely and welcoming and let us have as many samples as my husband could eat �. The consultation was so easy and relaxing with sharing different ideas and showing pictures. Lucy then made everything really simple for us with a clear breakdown of what it would look like etc. She kept in contact throughout the whole process, even helping us find a suitable cake stand. When I saw the cake on the day it honestly took my breath away and was everything we wanted! The attention to detail was lovely and the cake tasted delicious! Would highly recommend Lucy to anyone that asked.

Lucy made our fantastic wedding cake for us in early may. She was incredibly helpful with helping us decide on the final design and communication with her though out was brilliant. The final cake was beautiful and delicious and was exactly what we wanted! And all our guests loved the three different flavours!
