Cakes by Nina

We came across Nina during a wedding fayre, and all we can say is we are so pleased that we stopped at her stand! It was tough not to with some of the amazing cakes she had on display! Even before we had made our booking, our experience with Nina was fantastically professional, but also so personable! She listened to everything we were looking for, made some great suggestions, sketched out what we were describing to make sure we were happy...and most importantly...made some extremely tasty cake for our tasting session!! We chose different flavours for each tier as we couldn’t choose just one...and the tier that stole the show with our guests was the cookies and cream! You MUST give this a try for your tasting! We also had quite an intricate logo for our wedding which was matched across all elements of the day. We were a little worried how it might get replicated on a cake, but we really needn’t have been concerned! Nina had templates created and the finished article we were presented with on the day was outstanding...not to mention the intricacies of the flowers and leaves that were hand made to perfection. If you are looking for a cake for your wedding...or any occasion for that matter...then we highly recommend using Nina! It certainly won’t be the last time we have a cake made by her! Thank you Nina for creating a show stopping centre piece to our day!

Nina made us the best wedding cake and we couldnt have been happier with it, not only did it look amazing but it is the first cake we have had made (and we have had alot of events with cakes) where it was all eaten, normally the cake is admired and gets cut and lots of it wasted (or ends up having to be frozen) each layer tasted amazing. We cant wait for the next event so we can order another cake from Nina

Nina made our wedding cake better than we imagined. We met Nina at her studio and she talked through all our ideas for our cake and designed something there and then which was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. We took samples home of her flavours and they were all incredible. We were emailed a drawn copy of what the cake would look like. On the day when I saw the cake it couldn’t have been any better, everyone commented on how beautiful the roses and petals were and how tasty the sponge was! I couldn’t recommend Nina any higher, she has gone above expectations and is honestly such a lovely person. Thank you for our dream wedding cake Nina! If we need anymore cakes we know where to find you!

I really wanted a unique wedding cake to surprise my husband with. Nina created an amazing cake for us that was so different but beautiful! We had so many compliments and it really was the wow factor! The entire cake was eaten by the guests and Nina was so easy to work with and really listened to what I wanted! Originally recommended by a friend, me and my husband went to Nina looking for a Harry Potter inspired cake. We wanted something quirky and creative. After meeting with Nina we felt very happy with our decision. The cake tasting was great, lots of delicious flavours and not just the usual plain flavours you would expect. She went above and beyond with the cake. We had miniature characters of ourselves on the cake which was really impressive, even asked to see pictures of our outfits to get every detail perfect. We had so many compliments on the day and everyone loved the half and half effect. Its very clear how talented Nina is and how important her work is to her. I would 100% recommend Cakes by Nina.

We had a doubleside, Geek cake, getting just the right wedding cake was something we both really wanted, and we cant thank Nina enough. Our guests couldnt stop saying how amazing the cake looked, and we were both blown away when we saw it. Thank you so much for all your amazing hard work, The cake tasted just as amazing as it looked.

During the planning of our wedding earlier this year by far the best experience was visiting Nina and choosing our cake. Nina invited us in to a quirky room full of models of cakes. Already in front of us were cakes for us to taste. While we told Nina what we roughly wanted she came up with ideas that would work on a wedding cake whilst stretching them out then and there. The process was exciting and amazing. I can’t emphasise enough how the cake tasting and ordering from Nina was Joy and a welcome break from wedding planning stresses. On the day seeing our cake was amazing and everyone said was an original and brilliant cake it was. But with Nina the cakes are not only beautiful but the most delicious cakes you have ever eaten! I simply showed Nina a picture of roughly what I wanted and from there she knew exactly what to do and was very thorough in all of her sketches... and Everyperson on the day said just how yummy the cake was!!

I have been using Nina for a few years now, both my daughters wedding cakes and off course mine. What I find amazing about Nina, she really takes notice on what you ask for, and she always manages to find extra bits that you wouldn't have imagined. Everybody at my wedding including the staff at a well known venue for weddings were completely blown away with our cake, I even cried when I saw it for the first time , the delicate artwork for the flowers and figures , including my little allotment pieces were exquisite . Nina never fails to impress me with her talent. If you want anything very personal and you wished to be listened to then Nina is the very lady for you.
