Make Up By Jenni

I had the pleasure of working alongside Jenni on a beautiful Equestrian themed styled shoot at a farm in Leicestershire. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the year and somehow Jenni managed to keep our model's make up looking incredible all day which must have been a real challenge due to the heat! She is also a lovely lady to work with and i'd recommend her to any bride looking to have a true professional Make Up Artist make them look & feel fab on the morning of their wedding.

I have no doubt that Jenni is a talented woman, however, the lack of professionalism I received has deeply disappointed me and ironically when I came online to write this review I have read one which I could have written word for word myself. I booked Jenni to do my make up almost 2 years before my wedding. I paid my deposit and arranged for my trial to be done in March this year. I went along and Jenni seemed lovely and I was pleased with the outcome. I then paid my second installment. My wedding date was 7th July and on the 16th June I was in touch with Jenni to make my final payment. We exchanged a few messages and everything seemed on track. I live in the UAE and flew back into the U.K on the 27th June. After a long and tiring journey I finally got into bed late at night and turned my phone on to find a facebook message from Jenni saying she could no longer do my make up for my wedding. Her reason been an operation she'd had...back in April...on her ankle. She was incredibly dismissive and seemed like she really didn't care. To quote her: "I appreciate that you are married soon"...it wasn't just soon, it was the following week. There are several ways I believe she could have handled the situation better. Firstly, she could have told me prior to her operation several months earlier and given me the option to find someone new then and with enough time. Not 10 days before the wedding. Secondly, it was her ankle, not her wrist. Instead of dropping a bride in it 10 days before their wedding she could have got a lift to the venue and sat on a chair. Not just wipe her hands of the job. Thirdly, she could have arranged a step in make up artist to fill in. Instead, she forwarded me 5 email addresses to email myself knowing full well they would all be booked, it was the height of wedding season after all. One of the artists I contacted were so much more help offering their help. And one of which immediately responded asking if it was Jenni who had cancelled, suggesting I wasn't the first bride this had happened to. I was completely disappointed in the lack of sympathy displayed by Jenni and also the lack of help to find someone new in such short notice. I won't be recommending Jenni to anyone looking for a make up artist and I hope this doesn't happen to too many more women out there. Luckily the wonderful Gail Berry stepped in and did a fantastic job.

Jenni was attentive and listened to what I wanted and made me feel and look like the best version of myself. She's also such a lovely lady! My mum, bridesmaids and I were very greatful for her skills and expertise! Cannot recommend enough!!

Just a little message to say a HUGE Thank You for our gorgeous make up on my Wedding Day! You did such a fantastic job, you made us feel like royalty :-) I didn't stop smiling all day! The make up looked absolutely flawless in all the photos and lasted all day and night. Myself and my bridesmaids received so many wonderful compliments due to your handiwork. Thank you so much Jenni, I am so thrilled you agreed to be my make up artist and it was so lovely to meet you.

Jenni was amazing from start to finish. We all looked wonderful and so natural. I want d to look natural as I don't wear a lot of make up and she made my dreams come true. Highly recommend. So helpful always and went out her way to help us on the day.

Jenni did a wonderful job of the make up for me, my bridesmaid, my mum and mother-in-law at our wedding earlier this year. From the initial make up trial we knew we had chosen the right lady for the job as she was just so lovely, making us feel very at ease. You could tell she wanted to ensure that we all looked beautiful and felt very comfortable with how we looked on the day. Could not have been more delighted with how we all looked. Thank you Jenni!

Jenni was amazing from start to finish. She listened to exactly what we wanted for our makeup and was patient with us until we were 100% happy with our looks. She was constantly in touch with us and responded to all emails which as a bride really puts your mind at ease. Jenni is extremely talented at what she does and is worth every penny. The makeup lasted all day/night and I felt like a princess. She was early on the day and kept me calm and focused. I couldn't of asked for anything more.

Jenni is fantastic, super friendly and polite and made the morning of our wedding run very smoothly. Everyone was extremely happy with their make up. 8 especially loved the natural look she gave me. Would highly recommend to friends and family!

Jenni was a fantastic choice - I was looking for a top rated MUA who could give me and my girls a look worthy of the runway, Which she did. She made us look fabulous; she was very knowledgable about the products and our skin types as well as having an amazing ability to keep Everyone calm and collected very effortlessly. She is incredibly professional and personable and I'd recommend her to anyone.
