I started hairdressing when I was 15 as a Saturday girl in Harringtons, Maidenhead. I then went on to do a full-time apprenticeship there. I was there 2 years when I decided a smaller salon was more for me so I went to a smaller salon in Burnham high street where I finished off my training. I was at that salon for 3 years when I decided I wanted to venture out on my own so I opened up my own hair salon 'HONEYZ' I had around 5/6 staff working for me. When I had my little boy I decided I wanted to go smaller and not have so many staff under me so I downsized and changed the business to 'EMMA'S Hair and Beauty Salon" in Slough. I also decided I wanted to do a beauty course so I can add more services to my business. And now this is where I am, still going strong after running my own business for 10 years. We are situated at 26 Cippenham Lane in Slough (behind style barbers). I have a beauty room at my house which I find my customers like as its quiet, comfortable, more intimate and uninterrupted by the hustle and bustle of a salon. A lot of our customers praise us on our friendly atmosphere. Emma's Hair & Beauty prides itself on our customer services and making sure our customers are relaxed and looked after while in our salon. We have a lot of regular customers who are not only customers but have also become friends over the years.
