The Secret Garden is easily one of Kent’s most romantic and picturesque venues, offering exclusive hire, a variety of packages and the help of a talented team who are dedicated to making sure couples have their perfect day .

Based on the original Mersham le Hatch estate, it's historic surroundings provide a perfect, secluded escape for weddings. There are endless photo opportunities to suit couples of all tastes and styles - from the enchanting Wild Flower Garden to the elegant Cobbled Courtyards, Old Archways and Clock Tower. This venue is a dream for photographers as well as couples!

The Secret Garden offers a variety of fully licensed ceremony spaces, including the beautiful Gazebo located in the heart of the Gardens, the historic Chapel which is perfect for weddings all year round, and the Glasshouse, showcasing the best of the outdoors inside and is the perfect space for smaller, more intimate weddings.

On top of this, the Secret Garden has an incredibly talented team of world class chefs, who pride themselves on using Kent’s finest and locally sourced fresh produce. We even grow our own fruit and vegetables onsite! Whether you're looking for a delicious 3 Course A La Carte, or a more relaxed, informal BBQ Breakfast, the options for catering here are endless. Bespoke menus can even be arranged for couples who are looking for something really special.

Just want to say a big thank you to you and your team for all you did on our wedding day. You were so helpful and lovely. Bar the rain the day was perfect. Just glad the rain held off for the actual ceremony! Also can we just say Abbey was amazing, she was so friendly and helpful, please pass on our gratitude. Wonderful WeddingWonderful Wedding
Alex and I would like to thank you for all your efforts in making our wedding so wonderful. Trying to plan a wedding whilst dealing with a severe illness and multiple surgeries, and living in a different country, could have been a nightmare but the events team at Secret Garden made things easy to manage. Being able to sort out details via email and Skype was such a relief and we really appreciate the flexibility shown. The day itself was perfect. It was exactly how we had dreamed our wedding to be. The venue was so beautiful - everyone commented on how gorgeous the grounds were and how beautifully set out the Coach House was. The food was amazing - my only regret from the day was that I didn't go for seconds! The staff were amazing - so helpful in every situation and so polite and friendly to our guests. We have wanted to send this through for some time, and with one thing and another, waiting for photos, work other boring things taking over, it has taken this long! A massive and sincere thank you from us both for making our wedding day so wonderfully perfect! :). It was a very special day for us both of course already, and made all the more special by all the staff at the Secret Garden taking such good care of us and all our guests. The tables, garden, music, decorations, flowers, games, ice cream, cake, food, drinks everything was amazing :) Everyone had a really great time, and there was not one thing we would have done differently. I wanted to send a message to say the biggest thank you for helping us make our wedding day so special. I have not stopped smiling. I knew we had chosen the right place after viewing it the first time, we were put at ease straight away by Laura. The lead up was very hectic as was the morning on the day for me, but once arriving I knew it was all worth it. The food was amazing and all of our guests commented on how lovely it was and how friendly and helpful the staff were. The evening was fabulous and we danced the night away. Finally to all the staff who were so friendly and attentive to all our guests needs. But may I say a particular thank you to Laura, who was there right from the start to the big day. Dealing with my many emails with questions and always putting us at ease with your replies. It was unfortunate our youngest daughter was poorly on the day, thank you for accommodating her with jam sandwiches. I can't tell you how grateful I am when I saw you speaking to her and trying to make her feel better. Absolutely perfect!Absolutely perfect!
We just wanted to say 'thank you' once again for helping make our wedding day so special. The whole day was absolutely perfect. The venue was dressed exactly how we wanted it, the drinks were absolutely delicious and everyone serving on the day was fantastic - really engaging with the guests and attentive, but relaxed, throughout. But particular thanks for the chefs - just wow. Everyone commented that it was some of the, if not the, best food they've ever had at a wedding. A lot of people ended up feeling sick because they couldn't stop themselves eating more and more food. It was, honestly, the best day ever and you guys really made it by doing everything exactly as we wanted it and helping us in the lead up. Laura did an amazing job of getting everything sorted before the big day and guiding us through some of the areas we were less than sure about. The relief I felt when I walked in to see everything set-up exactly as we wanted it was immense and I really can't thank you enough for that. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and all the staff who worked on Friday. We had the best day and everything was amazing from start to finish. The venue was beautifully decorated and exactly how I imagined it to look. Everyone commented on the food and most said it was the best wedding food they'd eaten!! Lovely to hear. So thank you again! Also, thank you to you. I am so glad we decided to go with the Secret Garden. You made the whole planning effortless and straight forward, always there to guide and answer all queries. I have heard friends who have got married say how difficult it is but because of your work I didn't find that. As you may have noticed I'm not the most organized person! The hardest part of organizing it was the bridesmaid dresses! So thank you for making it so stress free!! We couldn't have asked for a better day! We're still on cloud 9! So many guests said how much they loved it too, which is lovely to hear! I'm sure we'll be back soon again! Thank you again for all your work!! I just wanted to thank you all for a fantastic day on Friday. It was Perfect! We didn't have to ask for anything and it run so smoothly. We had the most wonderful day. We were lucky with the weather! Hi all, I just want to say a huge huge thank you for such an amazing wedding last Friday. It was all we had dreamt of and more. The wedding went so smoothly and nothing was to much trouble. How to find Secret Garden Our address:- Secret Garden, The Courtyard, Hythe Road A20, Near Ashford Kent, TN25 6NH/5NH Car: From London: - Follow the M20, Leaving junction 10a, take 2nd exit onto the A20 Hythe Road. Follow A20 for approx. 1.6 miles. We are on the left hand side of the road next to Mersham Le Hatch Cricket ground. If you go past a café called Blue and White you need to turn around. From Folkestone:- Follow the M20, Leaving at junction 11, take 3rd exit onto the A20. Follow road for approx. 4 miles. You will go through the village of Sellindge. We are just pass a café called Blue and White on the right hand side next to Mersham Le Hatch Cricket ground. Satellite Navigation systems do not always send you in the right direction, please check as per above directions. Leaving Cars: You are welcome to leave your car overnight within the main car park. Please note however that we do not own the car park and thus cars are left at your own risk. The main car park shall be locked between 12midnight and 7am.
