A classic, character-filled pub, The County Arms provides an unforgettable setting year-round. In winter, three open fireplaces create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, while summer brings our stunning lavender-lined garden to life, complete with a sizzling burger shack for relaxed outdoor dining. Our versatile venue is perfectly suited to engagement parties, wedding ceremonies, and receptions for up to 120 guests. Whether you’re envisioning an intimate seated meal or a lively evening celebration, our flexible spaces can be arranged to suit your ideal layout.
We are fully licensed to host wedding ceremonies, allowing you to enjoy your entire day in one beautiful location. You can choose exclusive access to the elegant Belvedere Room, The Trinity Room, patio, and expansive decking area - available to hire individually or together for your ceremony, drinks reception, or wedding breakfast.
- Belvedere Room: Seats up to 100 guests or hosts up to 120 for standing receptions
- Trinity Room: Ideal for smaller gatherings, seating up to 40 or accommodating 60 standing guests

- RRosie and Adam08/09/2016Big day without a hitchBig day without a hitchMy husband and I had our wedding at the County Arms in March; there were a few changes in the events team during our planning, but the team (special shout out to John and Andrew) really did a fantastic job! They were accommodating with deliveries & communicative, really gave us confidence that our big day would go without a hitch, and it absolutely did. Everyone commented on how great the venue was, and how attentive the staff were - they were with us every step of the way and visible throughout the day. And the food was brilliant - we went for the BBQ buffet 'family style', everyone loved it. The whole thing was seamless. The events team took all stress out of the organisation and were so well-organised and helpful. The room is lovely and with the outside terrace included as well, it was the perfect setting for a summer wedding. We wanted a venue that was relaxed, friendly and helpful, and we got exactly what we wanted. We had our wedding reception at the County Arms in June and we cannot compliment the team enough. The whole thing was seamless. The events team took all stress out of the organisation and were so well-organised and helpful. The pub is a really lovely looking and the room is beautifully designed with a private area in the garden. It was exactly what we were looking for. John and Lina were brilliant at helping to organise the day by replying quickly to emails and making suggestions. Every other staff member we met at the pub was friendly too. Guests commented on how nice the food was and how relaxed and fun the day was. It was a perfect day for us. Thank you to all the staff for making it happen.As soon as I saw the Beldevere Room at the County Arms, I knew it would be perfect as our wedding reception. They helped with our big day from getting married there, having our Buddhist blessing, amazing food and providing us with our own garden area. The whole day was organised by the team where they helped with everything down to the flowers, balloons, table plans etc... which really helped me and my new wife out tremendously ! We would recommend this as a great place to enjoy any event and we will be using them again very soon.We booked the County Arms pub venue for our wedding day.
