Set in the tranquil Dorset countryside, St Giles House makes for your idyllic wedding venue. Providing an unforgettable and unique experience for you and your loved one to marry in a truly magical setting.
St Giles House is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies in any of the principal rooms of the house and has a maximum capacity of 120 guests. If you're looking for an outdoor ceremony, The Lake Lawn hosts the most remarkable views across the grounds and estate, whilst the18th-century Grotto, lined with shells brought back from the Caribbean, provides a unique and intimate ceremony location for up to 20 guests. If you're looking for a more traditional ceremony, St Giles Church is only at the end of the driveway.
Known as the venue with the best kept secret. If you're looking to dazzle your guests with the unexpected, our award-winning nightclub and speakeasy bar located in the basement will do just that. Take it from decadence to deca -"dance" in the evening.
Your booking with us includes a two-night stay in the 17th-century Riding House, as well as The Grooms Cottage; comprised of two Maisonettes that have been refurbished sleeping 4 in each. Additional accommodation is also available in the Pepperpot Lodges and St Giles House bedrooms, meaning 42 guests+ can be accommodated on-site with other local options within walking distance.

I have since visited again & hope to work more here I am often very lucky to attend great venues to work in and St GIles house is now in my top 3 of the UK to work in. Once you see it you'll fall in love!I was very privileged to be asked to style a bride & her wedding party for a wedding in April 2019 On arrival this venue wows - then you enter the house or Riding house & you are in awe of the shear splendor & luxury surrounding you. We had a couple of viewings and all our questions were answered and nothing was too much trouble. The venue is just simply stunning and all our guests have commented on how beautiful the house is, nicely tucked away, it’s simply a gem of a wedding venue! Everyone was so polite and helpful on the day and it went along with no issues at all!! We wish we could do it all again and I think that is largely down to the teams excellence!! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Each Wedding has been equally beautiful, although the most unique would have to be the "Supercar" couple whose love of fast cars led them to hiring over 6 million pounds worth of super cars. These were parked in the grounds and positioned like an aisle which the bride walked down.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
To prioritise what aspect of your day means the most to you, for example the photos... and then ensure you get that preferred supplier booked as soon as possible.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
An Aerobatic Air Display was put on by the couple for their Wedding guests as a total surprise. It was outstanding.

This offers you and all of your guests the opportunity to experience the magic of St Giles and all the luxuries of our weekend offering, on a Monday-Thursday basis in any season. All that’s different is the day of the week, and your drinks package which is now up to you. Corkage isn't included in the mid-week package so you are free to choose whatever option you like; one of our in house drinks packages, or opt to add corkage on to bring along your favourite wines and champagnes.
