Sparth House is a family-run Georgian manor house wedding venue in Clayton-le-Moors, Lancashire, built in 1740 and around 45 minutes from Manchester. Named Exclusive Wedding Venue of the Year – England 2025, we have a homely, relaxed feel throughout. Your wedding spaces are always private, and full-house exclusivity is available when all 16 bedrooms are booked by your wedding party or you cover any unfilled rooms – and we never charge a venue hire or exclusivity fee.

Your very own wedding coordinator will ease your planning journey and be there on the day to run it to perfection. Stay the night before in our gorgeous Garden Apartment with up to 5 of your bridal party before an exciting morning of getting ready, all whilst our award-winning team look after you.

You'll walk down the aisle in our ceremony room, before enjoying a drinks reception in the main house, with so many perfect spots both inside and out for those photos to last a lifetime. Our wedding breakfast room is a stunning, neutral space with wooden floors throughout that will complement your theme perfectly. Our team provide outstanding service, and the reviews for our food speak for themselves.

Dance the night away at your evening reception before heading up to our beautiful Wedding Suite. In the morning, breakfast awaits you and your nearest and dearest who stayed over in our 16 bedrooms, which sleep up to 40 guests.

Our Three-Day Wedding Weekend gives you Sparth House exclusively from the evening before to the morning after, with all 16 bedrooms reserved for your wedding party. Whether you're dreaming of a summer wedding surrounded by acres of gorgeous gardens, a winter wedding with guests getting cosy by the fires, or a whole weekend together, our dedicated team are here to make it happen, with plenty of personal touches along the way. My new wife and I had the most amazing day from start to finish , the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us , and our wedding planner Olivia well what can I say she is one in a million , smart sophisticated and very professional she made our day perfect and we cannot thank her enough . The food was amazing and our honeymoon suite was beautiful . Anyone wanting to be married I would definitely recommend sparth house . After getting married at Sparth House I couldn't think of a better place to return to where I could trust to have my perfect baby shower. Again, Olivia and the staff couldn't do enough to make my day special and care free. I would recommend Sparth House to everyone for all special occasions. Sparth House was recommended to us by a friend before we had even thought of looking for our wedding venue. From visiting their wedding fair our hearts were set on the place and we made a booking there and then. We built a lovely relationship with Olivia, the wedding organiser, who was the best-from our preparations to the day of our wedding. The day of our wedding couldn't have been any more special. It ran smoothly and I (as the fussy bride) didn't have to think about anything, it was all led just as we wanted it, if not better! They even accommodated my request of clay pigeon shooting which was a great surprise for all the guests! We didn't want the day to end, we can't thank Olivia and all the staff at Sparth House enough for our perfect day. I had the honour of being chief bridesmaid at my cousins wedding here in September and I was absolutely made up for her and her new husband that the venue and all the staff were so amazing! We had a meal the night before and from the moment we walked in, you felt like you were being looked after, Olivia and the team were fantastic. The venue itself is beautiful with so many places for fantastic photos to treasure. We held our exclusive wedding here in May this year. Olivia and her team where fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. They where very supportive and accommodated to our needs and ideas. The service was impecable throughout from start to finish. The hotel decor has been done to a high standard and the newly refurbished bedrooms are amazing. The food was outstanding which didn't go unnoticed by our guest either. Beautiful gardens/grounds for wedding pictures. We had the most amazing day and if we could do it all again we would not hesitate in booking Sparth House. We would recommend it to any bride and groom. From our initial enquiry we knew that Sparth House was to be our wedding venue. It just felt like we were home as soon as we walked through the door. Beautiful decor, stunning food, amazing staff and a wedding planner who nothing was too much for made for the most wonderful day. An absolute perfect wedding venue. And I am not just talking about the building. Olivia and all the team were AMAZING. We stayed the night before too and the service and attention to detail could not have been better. On the day, Angela and Mark were their first priority , to make sure that they were relaxed and calm so they could enjoy every moment. The food was fabulous too.
