Ripley Castle

Thank you so much for everything you have done to make sure Vivek and I had a perfect Wedding day. Our special thanks to the events team for their warmth welcome and the service. The food was delicious and guests couldn't stop commenting on it. Once again thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our Wedding day magical.

Thank you so much for absolutely everything you and the team did. Honestly the whole way through you have been truly amazing and always going above and beyond. Not only can't we get over the day but neither can our guests. Just thank you so much again we can't get over how amazing everything was. On the day Dave and the team were unreal making sure everything was ok, just wow.

The day was just perfect for us, the sun was shining and all our friends and family had a wonderful weekend both at Ripley castle and also at The Boar's Head. We arrived on Friday 16th at the castle, to be greeted by Dave who was so welcoming and looked after us as we unpacked our car with wedding stuff. On the day, we were looked after really well. Little things we appreciated like Dave bringing us drinks and canapes out to our (extremely warm!) photo shoot in the gardens, was a lovely touch and we really appreciated it. My parents, Chris's Grandad and one of my cousins were all in wheelchairs and Dave and the staff were really helpful and supportive and ensured they were OK throughout the whole day. This really helped take the weight of our minds and helped us to relax and enjoy our day. It meant a lot to us. The food was absolutely outstanding from the canapes to the wedding breakfast and finally the hog roast. We received lots of positive feedback from our guests and Chris and I would like to pass on our thanks to your chef and his team(we also thanked him on the Sunday). All the staff were absolutely brilliant and our guests really enjoyed the outdoor games and photo booth was definitely a hit!

Neither of us had seen the venue before and everything was so lovely! As I have mentioned before, I do weddings and banquets here in the states so I am definitely always on the look out for great service. Our manager for the evening - he was extremely attentive and rallied our guests for each part of the night extremely well! And then there was one server in particular, excuse me for not knowing her name but she attended to our bridal party table and had above the shoulder hair that was light brownish, and she was so so lovely! I really do wish we knew her name so we could pass on a message to her. She looked after us so well and had such a sweet and calming presence which was so refreshing when there were so many people and emotions to deal with! And of course, I can't thank you enough for helping me plan our wedding from overseas. It probably would have been easier for both of us if I was able to pick up the phone instead of shoot emails back and forth but you all did such a great job and it couldn't have turned out better. The hog roast at the end of the night was the talk of the town as well! Thank you so much and please thank your staff on behalf of Arthur and I.

As Henry and I are finally taking a much-needed break on our honeymoon, we wanted to take the time to extend a massive thank you for the perfect wedding day that you helped give us. Although we'd never been to a wedding before, you helped create exactly what we wanted and held our hand throughout the entire process. We can't thank you enough for making this the first day of our joint family history. It certainly sets the bar high for the rest of our lives together! The Ripley Castle team on the day were also faultless, and we would be grateful if you could extend our appreciation to them. They were always on hand when we needed them, and attentive to our every need. Looking back, we couldn't imagine having out wedding with any other venue.

We knew we wanted somewhere in the countryside as we wanted it to be a pretty place for people who had travelled a long way. From the first time we visited Ripley Castle we fell in love with it. The beautiful stone houses in the small village of Ripley made for an incredibly warm welcome before even reaching the castle. The castle grounds are stunning with a picturesque lake, and the castle is built from the same stone as the rest of the village. Inside, large wooden beams gave a really warm and authentic feel to the venue. Nowhere else we saw after this even came close. For our food, we had a pressing of chicken, duck and parma ham to start; roast beef for our main; and New York cheesecake for dessert. The accompanying red and white wine was Ripley Castle’s Sir Thomas Ingleby’s own selection as they produce their own wine. For canapés we had scallops with chorizo, spring rolls, smoked salmon blinis and miniature scones with jam and cream. Then in the evening we had a hog roast. We wanted to choose food that would be liked by the majority of people but was also delicious. Our guests gave us some lovely feedback so we were very happy with our choices. We would fully recommend Ripley Castle to other couples for so many reasons. It is set in the most incredibly beautiful grounds, the food was delicious and their front of house manager, Dave, went above and beyond for us throughout the whole day. He worked tirelessly and was warm, friendly and professional.

We visited Ripley Castle on the off chance and absolutely fell in love, the grounds, the staff and the venue was perfect. The attention to detail at this venue was absolutely second to none…everything was done to perfection and I trusted them completely

We had a wonderful time on Saturday- Ripley Castle is a beautiful venue and everyone who worked on Saturday did a fantastic job in that heat! From Mike who calmly rescued me from outside when I came across my guests on my walk to the ceremony, to Dave and his team who were simply brilliant and attentive throughout, to the chefs who made what many of our guests described as "the best wedding breakfast they ever had"- please pass our sincerest thanks onto everyone. Also, a thank you to Olivia; you've been so brilliant throughout the whole process and we won't be able to recommend you highly enough to our engaged friends.

Thank you so much for all your help, support and guidance in planning our wedding. You were absolutely fantastic from our very first meeting and we can't thank you enough for all your help.
