Tucked away in a quiet, secluded valley just three miles inland from the North Cornish coast lies Pengenna Manor, an 800-year-old private house set in over 300 acres
of beautiful Cornish countryside. Completely private and exclusively yours, as a ‘blank canvas’ venue it has a true flexibility that offers you the chance to create your dream wedding the way you want it, with a gorgeous rustic barn to seat 100, plenty of space for marquees for up to 350 guests, luxurious accommodation for 18, and camping and glamping for up to 200.
What We Offer

– 10 lovely parish churches within a six mile radius
– Wedding receptions for up to 100 guests in the rustic Cowyard Barn
– Bespoke marquee wedding receptions for up to 350 guests
– A range of drinks reception spaces in the beautifully landscaped grounds
– Several unique locations for wedding photographs including lawns, terraces, wildflower banks, woodland and a river island
– Luxurious self-catering accommodation inside the Manor for up to 10 guests including a stunning Art Deco style bridal suite
– Additional self-catering four bedroom house sleeping a further 8 guests
– FREE camping for all of the rest of your guests with glamping options

We offer a different option from the norm for your wedding weekend - a beautiful, picturesque and flexible venue with varied spaces in size and character ideally set up for those wishing to create their own wedding day exactly the way they want it to be, with few rules - no templated celebrations here! You use the venue however you like and we're here to help you in the background whilst ensuring all runs smoothly.

Pricing ranges from £950 for a 24 hour elopement for two, up to £10,000 for a 72 hour full wedding with accommodation for 18 for three nights. Hire always includes use of the Cowyard Barn, Old Stables, ceremony furniture, reception furniture, garden furniture, new toilet block, all the gardens, 20 acres of grounds and meadows, 2 acres of camping meadows, 40 acres of woodland, our self catering accommodation inside the Manor for up to 10 guests, and several hours of our time to help you and your suppliers organise your day. Not included - catering (you hire your own), daytime drinks with NO corkage fee charged (we have an evening bar), and entertainment.

Describe the best wedding that happened at Pengenna Manor?
We've had so many! The best weddings are always those that think about all the details and what could bring a real wow-factor (like having gospel singers during the drinks for example), and those that make full use of all the fabulous different areas that we created across our 20 acres of grounds. We particularly enjoy those who have guests camping and glamping for the whole weekend which gives the wedding a great party atmosphere over all three days and the camping meadows really come into their own when you add special touches like a camp fire area and even wood fired hot tubs!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Ask your suppliers for their top tips, help and guidance! We all have so much experience and advice to give to ensure you have the perfect wedding weekend, and might suggest ideas you would have never thought of! Most of us work in the wedding industry because we are creative people.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Ooh that's a tough question, but we love it when couples have live music during their ceremony, drinks reception and dinner, it's adds such a special touch and makes the day so festive.

Where’s the best photo spot at Pengenna Manor?
Either in front of our 800-year-old manor house surrounded by all that history, or down amongst the trees in the woodland walk that leads to the camping grounds at sunset with the festoon lightbulbs strung overhead.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Pengenna Manor?
Yes! We've had some celebrity chefs, super models, actors, footballers and TV presenters as guests in the past!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Richard would say a local Cornish scallop on black pudding with pea pureé. Beckie would say arancini balls of any kind!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
It has to either be the good old Cornish pasty delivered hot from one of our local bakeries, OR delicious wood-fired pizza fresh from the oven.
What is Pengenna Manor most unique feature?
We would say the way we have created multiple character-filled spaces all as a blank canvas for you to use however you want. We really try not to have any rules and you tell us how you want your day to go - unless you need our advice of course!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
