Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Lynne
Hello and a warm welcome to Ocean View. When we started our journey by converting our milking parlour and opening up our farm for weddings, little did we realise how many happy couples and good friend we would make over the years. With an ethos built on personal service and bespoke celebrations, my team and I have been proud to be a part of ensuring that our couples have the day they always dreamed of. Come and see for yourself the fantastic setting and inspiring all round views.

Amazing venue

The most amazing venue and staff. They looked after us from the word go. Nothing was too much trouble. Special food requirements were catered for with no fuss. We had the most amazing time and our guests have been full.of compliments ever since.

The absolute best venue

We had the most wonderful wedding at Ocean View! We wanted a short engagement and managed to get from engagement to wedding day within five months, which would not have been possible without Karen and Lynne. From the second we walked into the venue for the first time, I knew I had to get married there, it is absolutely beautiful, an old restored farm milking shed, with a little marquee building which was perfect for us. They also add a larger marquee for the big summer weddings. They have stunning views out across the estuary, and you can literally see for miles and miles on a clear day. Our wedding was perfect, Karen and Lynne made us feel completely welcome and at ease throughout the whole planning process and could not have done more to make our day more wonderful. Plus - the food was amazing!!

We have had so many wonderful, weird & unique celebrations at the venue its to difficult to choose. Every event is special to us and all different in their own ways. From pagan weddings to traditional there are so many options to truly create your perfect day. The options are endless!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Listen to your coordinator who can guide you through the entire planning process through their experience. There is always someone on the team who can offer sound advice whatever the issue is and turn it into another ticked box off your very well appointed planning list.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

There are so many but my favourite has to be one of our lovely couples is a carpenter, so instead of cutting the wedding cake with the traditional knife, he opted for a hacksaw wrapped in white silk ribbon and bow. It was a fabulous day and created a very special talking point for them (and some amazing photos to never forget also)

The rear paddock on the pond leading to the field of newly born ponies. A fantastic spot with a farm wooden fence and over hanging tree line to help create the most romantic of images for your wedding day

We have, but as you would expect, discretion is our watchword.

What’s your favourite canapé?

The ever so popular mini slider burgers (they go like hot cakes)

Wedding cake of course

What is Ocean View, Windmill Gower most unique feature?

We are still a fully working family run farm as well as a wedding venue so lambing season gives an amazing opportunity to have some bleeting, playing, jumping bundles of fluff in the fields in front of the glass walled marquee.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

I am most proud of our commitment and dedication to our couples. We build a relationship with them that lasts, sees them returning to us for family occasions and to introduce their newborns to us. Its a beautiful passage of life that we are priveliged to be a party to.
