Whether you choose a grand celebration or prefer an intimate wedding with family and close friends, Fennes offers the perfect backdrop for your special day. You will have a dedicated team to ensure your special day exceeds your expectations and your own Wedding and Events Manager on the day to ensure all goes to plan. We can accommodate smaller ceremonies and wedding celebrations in a choice of licensed reception rooms within the Manor House, while larger weddings use the house to receive guests before moving through to the Banqueting Hall and Pavilion for the ceremony and celebrations. Our licensed Gazebo provides a wonderful setting for an outside ceremony in our beautiful grounds. If you are considering a church wedding, Fennes has close associations with a number of churches of different denominations within the parish. Your celebrations can continue throughout the day and into the evening, with reception rooms and areas in which to gather, including an elegant Drawing Room, intimate Parlour, comfortable Library, spacious Banqueting Hall and a stunning Pavilion with starlight ceiling and chandeliers. The photo opportunities are stunning in our extensive landscaped gardens. Our team of chefs can provide a memorable meal for your guests, tailored to your requirements and served by our expert staff. At the close of your day, the wedding couple retires to the luxurious Cottage in the grounds and your closest friends and family may choose to stay with us at Fennes in one of our eight beautiful guest rooms. Finally, the memories are relived the next morning at breakfast together, served by our friendly team. Given the Wedding Venue of the Year Heritage Award in 2015, The Fennes Estate in Bocking, Essex boasts Georgian style architecture, high ceilings, beautifully landscaped gardens, and wonderful, seasonal menus. They can accommodate up to 700 guests, and also offer outside ceremonies in a romantic gazebo.

Wedding was such a success!

The venue was magnificent, the staff superb and we would especially like to mention the chef and his team. The food was not only delicious but was served hot which is an achievement when serving almost 280 people. I don't know how you controlled the weather - thank you - it too helped to make a fantastic day! Our guests were very impressed with the smooth running of the day and we have received many compliments which we can attribute your organisation and management. Once again we cannot thank you enough and shall have no hesitation in recommending The Fennes.
