My husband and I thought we'd found the perfect venue for our wedding - the owner was flexible with the menu, the price was incredible and the setting was a dream come true.
However, he then booked in a 'regular' for the night before our wedding months before we had final RSVP's from guests and refused to give us that room. She was then extremely rude to myself and my husband, shouting at me on the morning of our wedding, something which could have been avoided had she been refused the room.
The owner hardly spoke to us all day, ignored my very reasonable requests for a fan at dinner, instead opening a door far away from me on a 36 degree day in August and refused to put the wine out on the table. Instead, it was hidden away in the corridor, presumably so we wouldn't notice if it wasn't all opened - definitely a cost saving exercise. If we were doing things again, I don't think I'd choose them, which is a shame as a few small differences and it would have been perfect.
