Nestled within 247 acres of picturesque Sussex countryside, Cottesmore offers an enchanting setting, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The charming courtyard, complete with its elegant fountain, reflects the character of the original farm buildings dating back to 1884, adding a touch of history and romance to your day.
Whether you dream of an intimate celebration or a grand affair, our venue can accommodate up to 150 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 200 for your evening reception. With breathtaking views and timeless elegance, Cottesmore is the perfect place to begin your forever.

🥂Drinks Reception
Our charming courtyard makes the perfect setting for sipping a chilled flute of bubbly or glass of summer Pimms and sampling our delicious canapés. Your own private vintage Horsebox bar will be open to serve your guests drinks before and after your wedding ceremony. It is also a great place for memorable photos and that all important confetti shot.

Our Challis Suite has been designed with a contemporary feel in mind. It is adorned with mirrors, chandelier lights with light wooden floors and a calming interior. Floor to ceiling windows overlook our French Styled courtyard complete with original fountain. The Bar is in the same room, which is high up on everyone's wish list and open until 12.30am.

From the beginning Jackie was there helping us plan even the small details of our wedding and helping us keep the fireworks a secret from our guests. Nothing was too much for any of the staff here, and they seemed to genuinely want to do their best for you. We opted to have a BBQ instead of a 3 course meal and cut our wedding cake and serve as desert (one of the money saving tips the venue suggested!) and everyone loved it. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, the honeymoon room is gorgeous and the grounds are incredible. We have had a lot of compliments from our guests about the hotel. The staff were amazing and made it run smoothly, the food was perfect everyone enjoyed it. Jackie was really helpful throughout the planning. We even had good enough weather to drive the golf buggy to the lake for some photos. We cannot recommend this place enough for a wedding. Every time we have a wedding here it becomes our favourite.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Just enjoy the day itself. You will have planned as much as you can and spent weekend after weekend to ensure you have your perfect wedding. There will be nerves but it will be exciting nerves, so smile and let everyone else do the worrying.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A family German Shepard Dog as the ring bearer.

Definitely down at the lake
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
There was talk of Ronaldo the footballer appearing at my Brazilian Brides wedding. He unfortunately didn't make the trip.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The Archway that leads through from the courtyard to the 18th hole and access down to lake. With the red carpet under there is makes a great photograph at all times of the year.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
It is a family run business which suffered a devastating fire in the summer of 2018. They are now in the process of completely rebuilding a brand new wedding venue, health club and club house. They have remained so positive throughout the whole ordeal.
