What is your most memorable wedding?
Wow, so many ... Most recently I shot a wedding where I was the only wedding guest! The couple had a secret elopement in their own town with only their children and me as guests. If that wasn't memorable, they hire the entire cinema for the afternoon to watch one of their favourite Disney movies, Snow White. I will be featuring this wedding on my website very soon.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Beautiful, Natural, Emotional, Memorable, and Surprising
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm quite proud of my growing collection reviews. It's always lovely when someone shares their kind words publicly, but to get so much recognition and appreciation is truly heartwarming.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Ask to see your suppliers work! In the world of the Internet, people are just going by what they see in carefully selected galleries on websites. I've had so many couples book me 'blind,' as in without meeting or seeing a full version of what I do. Luckily for us both it's worked out well, but I now insist people watch my full films. I find a lot of newbie photographers/videographers are putting a selection of lovely images/films on their website, which isn't an accurate reflection of the consistent quality they produce. Always request to see full samples whether it's film or photography.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrella's! I'm always happy to get wet if the couple want to stand under a couple of my white umbrellas or in an arch way.
